Care Instructions
Cleaning a polypropylene & synthetic rug, is relatively simple due the material’s durability and resistance to moisture.
Regular Vacuuming
Begin by vacuuming the rug regularly to remove loose dirt, dust & debris.
Spot Cleaning
For spills and stains, act quickly to blot the affected area with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel to absorb as much liquid as possible. Avoid rubbing the stain, as this can push it deeper into the fibres. You can then use a mild detergent mixed with water to clean the area. Test the detergent solution on a small, inconspicuous area of the rug first to ensure it does not cause discoloration.
Drying
After cleaning, ensure that the polypropylene & synthetic rugs are thoroughly dried to prevent mold or mildew growth. Hang the rug outdoors in a well-ventilated area or lay it flat on a clean surface to air dry. Avoid placing the rug in direct sunlight for extended periods of time, as this can cause fading.
Professional Cleaning (Optional)
If your polypropylene or synthetic rug is heavily soiled or if you are unsure about cleaning it yourself, you can take it to a professional rug cleaner for professional cleaning.
